It’s me. I know it. I’ve read the studies. Bloodsuckers and other pests are attracted to me. My legs and arms look like I’ve got either chicken pox or measles.
And they itch like crazy.
It isn’t so bad when I take antihistamines but the allergy pills make me tired so I don’t like to take them that often.
My know it all daughter says it’s because I’m out at dawn walking the dog which is prime dining time for the bugs. Any other time is not an option as it is too hot.
This morning I sprayed some repellant on my legs and arms. After coughing through the cloud of poison, we set off. I got a few more bites on my neck and face plus those areas where the fog of spray had missed.
My friend says I should take some vitamin B12 supplements and the bugs would leave me alone. My multivitamin has B12 and a few other Bs as well. And I’m still getting bit.
Any suggestions?
I use Skin so Soft. Your part of the country went a long time without much rain. So I guess your local bug population has exploded.
There is always the option of wearing a decon suit when outside or just staying inside. I’m sure you would look great walking with a yellow hazmat suit on. I would suggest a “cleaning” suit but we know how they fail.
Is that a lotion or a repellant? We actually have a large problem with misquitoes thanks to the abandoned homes and green pools. The government monitors the area to check for bugs carrying the disease, but you’re right. this year the monsoon has given us lots of rain and hence the bugs. two more today. Soon, I’ll be just one big pink welt.
Skin So Soft is an Avon product. Originally one just used the plain body lotion. It does repel those mosquitoes. Skin So Soft does come in a bug repellent. I like the product because it is much easier on the skin than the standard Cutter or Off and smells better. If I use Cutter or Off several days in a row I start breaking out from it.
