Turn and Face the Change

Now that everyone is channeling their inner David Bowie (See video), I suppose this is the year in review and what’s happening ahead.

First, the boring business:

I’ve created a mailing list to alert those interested when new books are released (and at a discounted price, too). Click here to sign up.

Yeah, I’ve decided it’s time to get off my butt and start doing that promo stuff that allows some folks to make a living as a writer. My husband has agreed to help, as he wants me to make twice the living so he can quit his job:D.

I hope to have the Syn-En Pillar World (Book 2 in the Founders War) finished by the end of the month and published early next month. Then I’ll be writing apocalyptic books, back-to-back, as part of a series. Then I’ll cross the pond and introduce a new location, England to my Love’s Great War Series with a touch of mystery, back to Belgium with another spy novel, and finish up the romance with a return to Hope’s Point, Michigan. If I’m still sane, I’ll write the 3rd book in the Founder’s War series, Ghost World, then the last book in the apocalyptic novel series, before tripping off into the paranormal world and actually writing the New Year’s Dugan book along with 3 short stories/novellas, then 3 Love’s Great War Series and maybe one more apocalyptic novel (If my skull hasn’t blown off) for release in early 2016.

Yeah, it might happen.

I am also thinking of adding some prepper tips that go along with my apocalyptic novels, but that may just be a stink in the wind by the time I get down to brass tacks.

Now for the fun stuff:

I am fueled by 4 new albums I received for Christmas (Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw, Sarah McLaughlin, and Little Big Town), plus an impressive array of music I purchased with my amazon gift card by such artists as Joe Cocker, Nat King Cole, Burl Ives (yes, I’ve added lots of Christmas music, which I start listening to in June), Sam Smith’s album In the Lonely Hour, Taylor Swift’s new album, Colbie Calliat, Bruno Mars, Maddie and Tae, Darius Rucker, David Nail, Chris Young, Brenda Lee, Ingrid Michaelson, and several others. Sadly I didn’t get all the albums on my list or purchase all the singles I wanted but my MP3 player is near to bursting, so I have to save up for a 16 GB iPod then add more music:D

I also decided to make a dent in all those books piling up in my iPad, kindle fire, and office, so I’m going to try to read 100 books this years. 50 research/craft related and 50 fun books. For every 2 I finish, I can buy one new one:D Free books can be downloaded at a moment’s notice, but I would like to clear my amazon wish list by the end of the year (that 47 books, music is excluded from this for the safe of my family.)

Lastly, I’m going to start doing my busywork again (quilting, cross-stitching, scrapbook, and the tens of other crafty things I like to do) so I can watch TV without thinking that I should be doing other stuff.

And I’m going to grow my potted garden from March to June and Sept to December. I might be able to keep up with it.

Well, that’s about it. Wish me luck! I’m gonna need it.

Wow and I thought my goals where bad. At my age I’ve developed goals such as waking up every morning and knowing who I am and where I am. If I was a compulsive disorder type it would be to make sure I get a next breath and a heart beat that is strong and on time.
As far as getting my Kindle books read, it will never happened in my life time. I have 475 books currently on my Kindle and I delete books as a finish them. In my Kindle cloud library I have 1876 books. So that makes about 1500 books I have read in 6 years. So I could finish the unread ones off IF I quit buying more. That isn’t going to happen.

Okay, I am going back to bed, I am so tired just reading what you have planned. Can I come and watch the whirlwind, or is it a tornado?
