My friend and coworker came back after having a week off at Thanksgiving. She’s decided to be positive, and see the bright side of things. I lasted about five minutes.
Then I got to thinking, maybe it’s me that’s causing the negativity.
So I replayed our conversation. All I can say is I definitely contributed by asking questions.
Then I got to thinking. I saw a facebook post about turning off the TV and talk radio to cut out the negativity in our lives.
But then this post came across my Facebook feed about how little some of the most well known charties actually spend on the programs they tell us they are funding.
Maybe I should cut out Facebook, too.
But there’s some funny stuff there. Stuff I like to repost because it is absurd, or because it shines a light of hypocrisy on the propagand campaigns of special interest groups.
Then a friend of mine commented that she hadn’t heard about the Paris bombings for a week because she’d isolated herself.
So, I’ve struck a bargain with myself. I’ll keep skimming the news feeds but skip the news and talk radio (okay, I don’t listen to them anyway), but for everything bad I hear/read, I’ll search for 5 good news/funny/or absurb items. I’m positive I can do that:D
Until next time!
