We Interrupt This Blog

One of the things I look forward to during the summer is no colds. And yet, here the weather turns 108 F and I start spiking a fever of 101.5. To make matters worse it’s a head cold.

Which makes doing anything harder if not impossible. Who knew you needed a functioning brain to do so many things.

So today I will spend the day dragging my blanket and pillow from the couch to the bed and back again as I drink hot and cold beverages, build a fortress of used tissue, and try to cough up a lung. And think about how diabolical it would be for an alien race to infect us all with colds then invade while we’re too miserable to care:D

Hope to be on the mend for Wednesday’s blog.

Until then, I have a mug of peppermint tea and honey with my name on it.
