When out rice cooker died, we bought an instant pot. So far, we’ve cooked a French toast recipe, ribs and hard boiled eggs. The French toast was good, the ribs could have gone a little longer, and the eggs were perfect.
And then it came time to cook the rice.
I was nervous. I read online so many different ways to cook the rice and the warning around each. In the end, we went with the rice setting since we were cooking white rice, we decided to give it a try. Aside from the little bit sticking to the bottom, it worked.
Which means now I am collecting instant pot recipes from my siblings who came before and have been cooking with the pot for a year or more.
