Hot, Hot, OMG

So my son got my husband watching ‘Hot Ones’. An interview show where the host and guest each hot wings with ever increasing hot sauce.

The sauces are rated on a Scoville scale, from pretty mild to your grandchildren will catch fire.

The hubbinator and son teamed up to show me Paul Rudd’s interview and gastronomic trials.

Then our son ordered an array of hot sauces.

They start very mild in the hundreds, then escalate to a thousand then 50K.

Until we got to “Da Bomb” which pegs in at 130K Scovilles. Holy macaroni. That sucker was hot for at least 10 minutes afterward. Or as my husband indelicately put it, he didn’t know his ass had tastebuds.

We are still 3 away from the top of the scale and our son plans to get the next one up for the holidays. It should be fun.

Until next time, stay healthy.
