Trying something new

The holidays bring with them a different kind of activity that leaves me wanting to binge-watch Netflix Christmas movies.

This year, I wanted to try something new, yet not completely alien.

So, I picked the Destination North Pole beading class by Jesse James Beads. For a low fee they give you the majority of the materials you need to create earrings, necklaces, and bracelets. They have great presenters/designers who walk you through all the techniques in the creative process.

And then other participants post their creations in a positive feedback loop of creativity and inspiration.

It is a wonderful community to be part of and I get to keep or gift my jewelry at the end. Frankly, as I am still a novice and impatient, my creations are usually worthy of the Island of Misfit Bling than gifts, but I am getting better.

And apparently I am part dragon cuz I like the shiny things.

More importantly, I like to collect the shiny things and ogle them.

This is the first time I’ve done such a class but I think I shall definitely be doing so again.

Until next time, stay healthy.
