Older can be better

Let’s get the obvious out of the way. Older things are better because if you aren’t getting older, you’re dead. Case closed.

But this post isn’t about that, it’s about movies. The classics, no matter how you define them.

Case in point–a friend at work asked me to recommend some classic movies to her as she was really enjoying them on Netflix. I asked which ones she had watched–Breakfast Club, St. Elmo’s Fire, and Sixteen Candles.

It was a tough reset for my brain as to me Classic movies are from Hollywood’s Golden Age–the 1930s and 1940s. The universe got back at her when she overheard two kids talking about enjoying the new Disney movies but not to forget the classics like Moana.

Either way, the hubbinator have been seeking out the movies from the ’30s and ’40s such as The More the Merrier, Rendezvous, and Without Love.

Of course, this won’t stop us from binging Stranger Things this weekend.

Until next time, stay healthy.
