You know the saying, if you want to hear God laugh, tell him your plans.
Well, I posted my goals for the new year, including my agressive writing schedule and giggles erupted in Heaven.
Last month, two of my publishers contacted me about my books.
First, Terri at Under the Moon wanted to know if I would be interested in turning my Hiding Space/Animosity series into a role playing game for their company. Oooh. I know very little about role playing games, but my brain did a little wiggle and shake and coughed up an idea.
And I got all tingly and excited. This could be really good.
So after I finish the second Blood book (due out late August/early September), I’ll be writing a role playing game book. Of course, that involves research and that makes my heart go pitter-patter.
Frankly, I’m pretty sure I started writing books to justify buying other books (that’s an upcoming post, so stay tuned).
Then, like magic, Liz at Zumaya Publications sent an email to my cyber mailbox. Seems the joint world I volunteered to participate in has been given a green light and could I please have my novella to her for publication in September.
Again, the cerebral hemispheres realigned and popped out another idea, involving… you guessed it, research. Yay!
It was about this time that my sanity walked out, slamming the door behind itself.
But that’s okay, I really wasn’t using it much.
So what does this mean for the Syn-En, Blood and Blue books, not to mention the one I have under contract? Not a thing. I’m going to give up sleep and watching TV to write the dang books. Okay, I’ll give up watching TV. I love to sleep.
As for my sanity, it was always a fair weather friend:-)
All I can say is WOW. Of course people like you. Why would you think otherwise? Won’t be long before you give up your day job. Next thing is a TV series or movie and your Redaction series would be a great series for SciFi channel.
Ack! I don’t want to give up my day job. I like my day job:-) Most days anyway. Of course, the money would be nice. It would be interesting to see how someone would interpret Redaction.
