We went, we stayed, we sold. Okay, maybe you want a little more information. It took us a long, long time to drive down to Tucson. A trip that normally takes about 2 hours took us over 3, thanks for traffic. But we arrived starving and tired. We were thankful to find an amazing restaurant that made fresh salsa at our table and I had a delicious shrimp burrito, while the hubbinator had to use a fork to eat his fish and shrimp tacos.
We showed up early for the book signing to set up. The weather was beautiful and the crowds were of a good size. I didn’t sell many books but had fun talking to folks and other writers.
Still exhausted, we went to a hamburger joint where the hubbinator got to try some craft brew from Tucson and I downed a salted caramel shake. The view from our hotel was very pretty.
Sunday was busier than Saturday and while I didn’t sell in the morning, I managed to do a pretty brisk business in the afternoon. Which is when I noticed the sunburn that sneaked in past my sunscreen. Ah well, guess I got an extra souvenir.
Thankfully we took today off work and will now spend our free hours unpacking, cleaning the house, and doing laundry. Such is the exciting life of an author:D
Until next time.
