It was bound to happen. The cat aptly named Zim likes to push things off of tables, shelves, anything really. He is an equal opportunity pusher, then completes the damage by playing with the stuff on the ground before returning for more playthings.
And so it came to pass that while my iPad was charging on the desk, he decided to push it off the desk and onto the wood floor.
In response to such violence, the case cracked and a few keys scattered.
Which meant that my iPad was naked for a while. Three long days until the new cover/keyboard arrived.
It’s funny how fragile the iPad looks without its case.
And it freaked me out quite a bit as I write my books on my iPad.
Thankfully, the new case and keyboard arrived safely. After changing the keyboard, I am just beginning to type on it.
And the keys feel rough under my fingertips. There is a cover for the keys but that feels odd too. I don’t like that my iPad doesn’t immediately wake up when I open the case either.
Still, everything works, so I won’t complain. It will just be a while until I adapt.
Until next time, stay healthy.
