Clipped

Once upon a time, not so very long ago, when I discovered a recipe I liked in a magazine or newspaper, I would cut it out to try out later.

I sorted and stored these clippings in index card boxes and file folders.

And there they sat for decades until I discovered them and began throwing them out.

Part of me rebelled at trashing the scraps of paper. After all they had meant something to me at one time.

So I reached a compromise. I kept the ones that were already in little cards then went on line and found some recipe card holders.

So now I am waiting for the plastic card holders, then I will begin to sort the cards by type and work my way through the stack.

I don’t think I have enough holders as I only ordered enough for 240 recipes, but I am hopeful that amongst all the scraps there is real treasure.

Until next time, stay healthy.
