Today is the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day. I hope everyone takes a little time to appreciate the incredible gift we have been given.

You scream
We all scream.
The store was wiped out of ice cream.
Apparently, we’ve all leveled up after 30+ days of quarantine.
We have reached the level of ice cream hoarding.
Congratulations!
Now, did you ice cream hoarders remember to stock up on aspirin to deal with the brain freeze that’s coming?
Until next time, stay healthy.
Food scented body lotion will eventually lead to cannibalism.
The rains came. They were waiting–seeds under the ground ready to grow at the slightest hint of moisture.
So they grew and grew.
And the rain came as regular as a sprinkler on a timer.
Then the lawnmower broke.
And still they grew. Taller and ever taller.
Until this:

Now, we are managing to find the plants that have been buried and expose them to the light again. 2 garbage cans full of weeds and 3 contractor-sized garbage bags. We have about 2/3rds of the garden to go.
Until next time, stay safe.
Over the weekend, I managed to find a few minutes to put together a necklace and a bracelet.
I ended up combining 2 bead sets for the necklace along with the pendant, but I also got to experiment a little with wire wrapping for the bracelet.

Until next time, stay healthy.
Cacti have two kinds of thorns: Those you see and the tiny ones you discover an hour after touching a cactus.

Okay, they’re not really boots. They’re Crocs, sneakers, and work shoes.
Bubbly Crocs in little scrappy sandal form. I love them. And while shopping online, I found them at the Crocs store on clearance then saved another 50% off.
It was a gift.
So I bought 3 pairs, which should last about 2 years. As a habit, I wear holes in the bottom of the shoes in about 7 months.
But I didn’t stop there. I also purchased a pair of sneakers from a brand I normally wear. I tried to break them in slowly, a tweny minute walk up the street.
They gave me a blister.
I’ve had better luck with my shiny new work shoes. No blisters and very comfortable. Too bad they have a heel which makes me fear I’m going to pitch forward when I walk down the stairs. I’m getting used to them, slowly. Very slowly.
Of course, they were 75% off their normal price.
Score.
And now, here’s the song with the same title: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SbyAZQ45uww
Until next time. Stay healthy.
Aside from the new normal of visiting 7 stores in an effort to pick up 90% of the items on our grocery list, we did manage to tick one thing off our to-do list: we installed our new wireless doorbell.
It was the smoothest installation of any project we experience.
Okay, it wasn’t without problems.
We didn’t have small enough wire nuts to cap off the old wires. The electricity had already been turned off.
And there was the very high weeds we had to face to get to the installation spot outside my son’s door. Still, it was done in under 10 minutes.
Too bad, the delivery guy didn’t use the new bell when he dropped off my package 30 minutes later.
Ah, well, maybe next time.
Until then, enjoy this classic that has almost nothing to do with doorbells: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vsBak0oCgdY
And stay healthy my friends.
There are few things more creepy than a motion light that keeps going off when no one is about.
Until next time, stay healthy my friends.
Here’s some flowers from our yard to brighten your day.

Until next time, stay healthy.
